BEACHES

The nature of the rocks itself determines the shape of the landscape and its surface, as well as the appearance and the granulometric and chromatic dimensions of the products of pebbles and sands. The result of this millenarian game of minerals is a rainbow of hues and types of beaches made up of white pebbles with black dots-azure like the white beaches of Portoferraio, thick sand with granitic composition in the central-western beaches, beaches made of mixed materials: sand, gravel and varied pebbles, deriving from the sedimentary rocks in the east, fine black hematitic sand or red rocks, and mineral beaches in the eastern coast.
You can relax on a different type of sand every day during your Elba vacation, admiring a unique and extraordinary landscape that will make your holidays an unforgettable event. Most of the free entrance beaches are pet friendly between 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. (In some cases between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.).
