The Beach
A tiny gem which can be seen from the provincial road for Marciana Marina, Spartaia
is on a small bay on the larger Procchio Gulf. The sandy beach, surrounded by
green Mediterranean scrub, runs down to the turquoise and emerald-green sea.
The name comes from the Sparto plant which grows on the dunes and on the edges
